Northern California Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club We are a group of Staffordshire Bull Terrier enthusiasts dedicated to the welfare and future of this breed in the USA. A group of breeders, exhibitors, and owners here to help and learn from one another.

The sole purpose of our club is to simply appreciate and respect the nobility of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. A group of people several years ago felt compelled to share inform and enjoy this breed with enthusiasts new and old. After research and thought we came to the conclusion not to make the mistakes so many before had and are now gone. This club is about Staffords, not some person’s ego! The founders of this club started a list of goals and promised each other the journey would be one of learning, sharing and most of all fun. We can't imagine a moment without our Staffords and hope to share as much love for this breed as possible for the rest of our lives.

Goals and Ambitions of our Club

We took a collection of ideas from the people interested in forming this club and composed what we feel are the most common concerns and desires. To explain these goals accurately we feel there are three areas we could work on to promote the best of our breed.

1. COMMUNICATION: Establishing a type of network to answer questions concerning the breed among fanciers new and old, to create an avenue of information regarding show results, rescue, upcoming events, activities and most important, to insure a common fiber of trust and cooperation among club members.

2. EDUCATION: To enjoy the excitement that parallels a breed such as ours. A quest for knowledge and information goes hand in hand. Sharing our history and experiences both foreign and domestic need to be presented and put into a perspective mutually respected and understood. In doing so, common questions such as medical info and bloodlines etc. can and should be answered correctly and clearly by qualified individuals willing to contribute both time and energy. We would try to establish seminars and work shops for members, judges and other fanciers willing to attend. Our goals would be to provide a convenient time and setting for such events.

3. ETHICS: We feel respect should be the root of ethics and a mutual program of checks and balances to insure our codes are maintained is a duty and honor enjoyed by each member. Our common goals regarding the above subjects are considered regal by our members and setting an example for others to follow and abide by would insure our success as an organization. If these things are done on a format everyone could enjoy, then our purpose as a club would generate a contagious atmosphere each member could benefit from.
